"Spencer has been to Melissa’s Obedience Training Classes and the group lessons were great. Doug and I learned a lot and so did our dog Spencer. However, the one on one private lesson definitely has a place in the over all training approach. Lets’ face it, obedience training is all about teaching humans to stay consistent and focused when training our dog friends. I have to say that Melissa does an excellent job keeping me focused in a gentle and supportive way. The outcome, both Spencer and I can learn and maintain a positive training approach. This of course translates into positive experiences out amongst the rest of the population. Just the other day Spencer came with me in to the bank. He sat and stayed on command……the comments were, wow what a great dog, what a smart dog…….. yes he made his mom proud!! and you gotta like that. Thanks Melissa, private lessons have a definite place and are value added."

"When we got our golden doodle puppy (Nova) neither of us had owned a dog before, and boy was she a handful, we were inexperienced and frustrated. She was biting us constantly, jumping and tugging on our pant legs. We had friends who attended Melissa's training classes before and were very hapy with her, so we contacted her and booked a private lesson (we didn't want to start in a formal training class while Nova was still so young). When Melissa arrived at our house Nova was her usual self, but as Melissa worked with her we could see her responding instantly. Melissa gave us a foundation for training and a few homework exercises to work on in order to change the way Nova behaved towards us. We saw improvements within days and couldn't be happier that Melissa was able to help us with our "little devil dog" (thank goodness that nickname didn't last long). We were looking forward to starting obedience classes and we have now graduated from level one with flying colours."
