Obedience classes at Metro Muttz use positive training methods. Our Puppy and Pet Obedience classes are 8 weeks in length, one hour per week.
Classes are kept small (3-6 dogs per class) and class curriculum is based on the individual needs of the participating dogs in the class. We do our best to place dogs in classes with other dogs similar in age, size, and/or training level.
Our Competitive and Advanced training classes are run in even smaller groups or private lessons.

NEW! Street Skills Class
This new class is a four week program, where we'll work on heeling, leash respect, and fading the use of food when you are out on a walk.
What is the best part about this class? We will be working out and about busy neighborhoods!
The first class will be held at the community centre, with the following dates to be held in St.Catharines, NOTL, and Clifton Hill. We will be practising our heeling and verbal control hands free, with the leash is tied around our waist/draped over our shoulder. Some sit stays and down stays will also be worked out on the lesson, but our main focus will be leash respect.
In order to participate, your dog must have completed a minimum of level one at Metro Muttz. Dogs will not be approved on a "first come, first serve basis." Dogs will be approved by Melissa on their suitability for the class.
